Plan Your Trip
We couldn’t have dreamed of a better home for EQUITANA USA than Lexington, KY!
While you’re celebrating our four-hooved friends in the Horse Capital of the World, we also invite you to explore the Bluegrass Region’s many charming and vibrant features. As our friends at VisitLEX say, “Come for the horses. Stay for the bourbon, street art, nightlife, food, shopping, architecture, history, craft beer, local coffee shops, music, and friendly people.”
Where to stay
Through the travel experts at Connections Housing, we’ve secured a limited number of reduced-rate hotel rooms to make your trip to Lexington easy and affordable.
Buyer Beware: Connections Housing is the only approved, official housing vendor for EQUITANA USA 2020. We understand that unauthorized housing companies may contact you and advertise cheaper rates, or may imply or claim an affiliation with EQUITANA USA 2020. Unfortunately, some past attendees have fallen prey to these companies and were unable to recuperate the money they spent on rooms that did not exist. If you are contacted by any company that is NOT Connections Housing, please notify the EQUITANA USA 2020 Housing Management at EQUITANA@CONNECTIONSHOUSING.COM before providing any information to a secondary housing vendor.
An additional option for your stay during EQUITANA USA is the Kentucky Horse Park Campground. There are three types of spots for camping:
Paved Sites: for RVs that back in and connect to water and electric
Electric Primitive Sites: on grass but have access to electric only
Primitive Sites: on grass with no water and no electric
The campground typically sells out every weekend so please make sure to book early. All booking will be done through the Kentucky Horse Park website at the link below.
Things to do
Visit Horse Country
Horse Country, Inc. is dedicated to sharing the stories of Kentucky’s Horse Country through daily tours, public tours, and customizable experiences that touch the life cycle of horses: breeding, nursery, and sport horse farms; equine clinics; a feed mill; training track; and aftercare facilities.
Visit Georgetown/Scott County
Georgetown sits in the midst of horse country and located a stone’s throw from the Kentucky Horse Park (just 7 miles north). With its eclectic historic downtown, Georgetown is bustling with horse-centric attractions, bourbon tastings, breweries, dozens of locally-owned shops and enough small-town charm to make your trip through the Bluegrass an unforgettable experience.
